I’m of a mind sometimes, regarding questions like this, to just shrug and say, “Iunno.” And make no qualifying statements whatsoever. I feel like most people these days can recognize the difference between a little healthy meandering and chronic aimlessness. And if they don’t, it’s a disconnect due to differences in experience, and shrugging seems appropriate to me in that case. No harm done to either party.
